Kyle Erwin: Leader of Clerical Duties

To some extent, all healthy individuals will experience themselves as outside the boundaries of society. They will experience themselves as aliens, always potential targets for the violence of society. Alienation is thus the condition of the mature person, of the fully aware person, as long as society remains insane. (Denes-Radomisli, 1976).

Rich McPhee: Leader of Communication, Information and Membership

Rich is originally from Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Dallas about two years ago. Rich is working on his Masters Degree in Liberal Studies at Southern Methodist University. Rich is also an active member of Spectrum SMU’s LGBT Student Group. Rich’s ultimate goal is to bring the importance of LGBT issues into the academic field of study. Rich feels the struggles of LGBT individuals tell their own story throughout American history. Rich states” The force of the Gay Revolution has revitalized the understanding of homosexuality in society. However, the recent marriage inequalities that have surfaced in California indicate the need for direct action activism in our community. LGBT individuals will never be given full rights unless we get out in the streets and demand our equal rights.”
